British Land has completed seven new leasing deals with Wingstop UKI across its UK retail park portfolio, totalling 22,000 sq ft.

The new Wingstop UKI restaurants will open at retail parks in Reading Gate, New Mersey Shopping Park in Speke, Cyfarthfa Shopping Park in Merthyr Tydfil, Glasgow Fort, Inverness Shopping Park, Central Retail Park in Falkirk and Fort Kinnaird in Edinburgh, expanding the brand’s UK footprint and strengthening the food and beverage offer across British Land’s parks.

Across the portfolio, British Land continues to see very high occupancy levels, with retail parks operating at 99% occupancy, demonstrating the strength of the format and the speed at which space is absorbed when it becomes available. The Wingstop UKI deals are a clear example of this dynamic, with the brand taking space formerly occupied by Pizza Hut, highlighting how quickly vacant units are re-let in today’s market.

Matthew Reed, Head of Retail Parks at British Land, said: “Retail parks continue to benefit from structurally strong demand and limited new supply. As a result, our parks are outperforming wider retail benchmarks on both footfall and sales. These seven deals with Wingstop clearly demonstrate the depth of demand from leading brands for high‑quality space across our retail park portfolio when opportunities come to market.”

Chris Sherriff, CEO at Wingstop UKI said: "We see significant opportunity in the out-of-town sector, and it’s an area of our business that has outperformed expectations. In just over seven years since launching in the UK, we’ve grown to nearly 100 sites, with these latest deals bringing our retail park portfolio to 21% of our total estate. This momentum reflects the growing demand for premium quick service restaurants in out-of-town locations, where customers seek high-quality, convenient dining options. We can’t wait to bring Flavour to more Wingstop fans across the country."
