- One Triton Square launches as new home for the UK’s most ambitious science and tech businesses
- Venture Café Global Institute moving London Innovation Hub to One Triton Square
15 October 2025
One Triton Square, a landmark new building at the heart of the Regent’s Place science and technology campus, launches today as a platform for innovation-led businesses to start, scale and industrialise breakthroughs in one of the UK’s most connected ecosystems.
British Land and Royal London Asset Management have also recently completed a deal with Venture Café Global Institute, who are moving the London innovation hub from King's Cross to One Triton Square from 20 November. They will host weekly events in the new events space in the building, bringing together startup founders, researchers, policymakers, investors, technologists, creatives, and anyone building the future.
Positioned on the ‘smart mile’ between Paddington and King’s Cross, One Triton Square has been designed as an ecosystem for businesses at every stage — from spinouts and start-ups to global leaders. Built to support up to 4,000 people, it brings together founders, researchers, investors and corporates in one place, enabling collaboration that accelerates growth, translation and commercialisation.
The building offers over 300,000 sq ft of sustainable, purpose-built space. This includes one floor of fitted laboratories, Storey flexible workspace, high-quality offices and access to shared meeting and event spaces — giving organisations the ability to grow without relocating.
Through partnerships with leading institutions, including The Francis Crick Institute and UCL, customers gain access to world-class research networks, talent and facilities — helping ideas move more quickly from concept to impact.
As the flagship building within the Regent’s Place innovation campus, One Triton Square sits at the centre of one of Europe’s fastest-growing clusters. AI and life sciences companies are increasingly choosing the campus for proximity to research, talent and capital. Recent arrivals include customer service AI company Sierra, generative AI company Synthesia, and Relation Therapeutics, which has doubled its footprint on site.
Michael Wiseman, Head of Campuses, at British Land said: “The opening of One Triton Square is about more than delivering real estate — it’s about creating critical infrastructure for the UK’s fast-growing science and technology economy. We’ve built an environment that removes barriers to innovation, offering flexible, fully serviced workspaces — from labs to high-spec offices — within a connected campus that supports the full lifecycle of growth. With the scale, ecosystem and specialist support needed by AI, life sciences and tech businesses alike, we believe One Triton Square will help ambitious companies attract world-class talent and accelerate their impact.”
Will Hawking, Head of Life Sciences at Royal London Asset Management, said: “There is no comparable offer in central London — One Triton Square’s infrastructure, from power and air systems to lab-ready design and basement layout, is built to support the full spectrum of science uses. Whilst the biotech industry remains a core focus, we are seeing strong demand from deeptech, AI and data science — sectors this building is uniquely equipped to serve. We are proud to deliver this project with British Land, whose campus model and ESG alignment make them an ideal development partner. One Triton Square provides a Central London presence within a campus environment which complements our wider Golden Triangle portfolio.”
Originally constructed in 1997, One Triton Square underwent a major, sustainability-focused retrofit led by Arup, successfully transforming it into one of the lowest carbon headquarters in the UK. Through the preservation of its original structure and the optimisation of energy systems, the building saved 40,000 tonnes of carbon compared to a new build. It operates on 100% certified renewable energy, holds an EPC B rating, and offers a healthy, modern workplace featuring one of London's largest covered atriums, 500m² of green roofs, and premium amenities like club-style lounges and panoramic terraces.
