British Land wins PMA Award
for Landlord of the Year 2007

The Property Managers Association (PMA) has 95 members from the UK’s largest retailers including Marks and Spencer, Woolworths, WH Smith, Arcadia, John Lewis, Debenhams and Boots. It was formed in 1975 to raise and maintain standards of real estate management within the retail sector, ensuring property costs remain affordable and property services provide real value for money.

The 2007 Landlord of the Year Award was nominated by its members, the property managers of major UK retailers. As such the award is recognition for the significant work undertaken at British Land to:

  • improve the timeliness and the transparency of property information provided to retailers,
  • establish closer relationships with retailers to understand their needs more effectively,
  • engage more directly with retailers on property issues in relation with the British Land managed portfolio,
  • show greatest amount of flexibility in lease negotiations and structure of lettings.
