Parc de l'Hydrion

Parc de l'Hydrion

The Parc de l’Hydrion is a purpose built, newly developed retail park comprising a total of 34,000 sq m gross lettable area divided into 36 retail units. The retail units are located in two terraces and surround the central car parking area.

The scheme, which opened for trade in August 2004, has no direct competition as planning for the development of retail warehousing has been extremely controlled within the region.

There are approximately 900 car parking spaces providing a ratio of 1:37 sq m.

Current tenants include:

Brantano, GB Carrefour (Supermarket), Decoupe (Textiles and fabric), Gamma (DIY), Hema (Clothing, household goods and toiletries), JBC Mod (Fashion), Krefel (Electrical), Piocheur (Toys), ScS and Zeeman-Hatterm (Clothing), Sportsworld and C&A.

Location

The Parc de l’Hydrion is located on the outskirts of Arlon, in the province of Luxembourg. Arlon is the most southern city of Belgium, situated close to the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.

The recently completed scheme benefits from excellent road access and visibility via its location at the junction of the N82 main road and Route de Bouillon/rue de l’Hydrion roads, approximately 2 km from Junction 31 of the E411 motorway. The E411 motorway is the central axis for all major routes leading to Belgium (Brussels), Luxembourg and France. The N82 is the major route leading from the motorway into Arlon.

Planning

Planning on the scheme provides for a wide range of retail uses and is the equivalent to an open A1 consent in the UK.
