Glasgow Fort Shopping Park

Glasgow Fort Shopping Park, Glasgow

Location

The scheme is in a prominent location accessed directly from its own motorway junction, Junction 10 of the M8 Motorway. Glasgow city centre is 5 miles to the west and Edinburgh city centre is 35 miles to the east.

Description

Glasgow Fort incorporates a two-sided mall design recreating the high street, which is a new concept for shopping parks in the UK.

This flexibility of the design allows for a greater range of unit sizes which when combined with the location of the scheme provides a superior shopping environment designed to attract the more sophisicated retailer traditionally located in town centres.

The scheme opened in Octobet 2004. Phase 1 provides 390,946 sq ft of retail accommodation. There are are currently 65 units and 8 kiosks. The units range in size from 570 sq ft (53 sq m)  to over 22,000 sq ft (2,044 sq m). There are no restrictions on the installation of mezzanines or minimum unit size.
